Two Sisters Vineyard

Two Sisters vineyard lies on a hillside at an elevation of 500 to 800 feet with a southern sun exposure. The vineyard is planted to 2.3 acres of Merlot and 2.7 acres of Alban clone 1 Grenache separated by two large California oak trees. Spacing is 4x6 with a VSP trellising system. Crop thinning starts at one cluster per shoot followed by additional thinning after veraison.  Average tons per acre is 2.5-3.0.
